This 3-day course with live animals focuses on the field-based needs for chemical immobilization of captive and free-ranging wildlife in North America. It is the most current, extensive, and creative training you can receive.
This class is for state/federal/tribal wildlife professionals, college students, animal control officers, zoo & sanctuary caretakers, and exotic animal ranchers. Dr. Mark will customize each course to meet the specific needs of the attendees to build confidence, success, and safety with each animal handling.
The course includes labs each day, course notebook, and Certificate of Training. This training also includes Dr. Mark's instruction and advising long after the course is complete.
The Fort Worth Nature Center covers 3,621 acres and includes over 20 miles of hiking trails, making the park one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the United States. There is a bison herd and recently introduced prairie dogs. This is a wonderful location for a chemical immobilization course! Here is a recent article about the Fort Worth Nature Center.
